Look at these sentences. What verb form comes after like? what verb form comes after would like?
Mira estas oraciones. ¿Qué forma verbal viene después de like? ¿Qué forma verbal viene después de would like?
b. I would like to live in the countryside
Complete the sentences with like or would like:
a. We use _______________ to talk about things you like all the time
b. We use _______________ to talk about things you want now, or at some time in the future.
Este tema se trata del infinitivo - gerundio and would like.
It´s super easy:
Infinitivo=to eat=comer
gerundio= eating=comiendo
I would like to eat a banana now(Me gustaria comer un banano ya)= would: verbo auxiliar modal que indica al verbo ria, ex= me gustaria=I would like
I would like to travel around the world= Me gustaria viajar alrededor del mundo
To eat
Eating
I like to eat a banana every morning (infinitivo)
I like eating a banana every morning (gerundio)
Simple present:
I eat a banana every morning Do I eat a banana every morning?
he eats a banana every morning Does he eat a banana every morning?
she eats Does she?
it eats Does it?
you Do you eat a banana every morning?
they eat a banana every morning Do they
we Do we
I do not eat a banana every morning
I don´t
he
she does not eat a banana every morning- (doesn´t)
it
you
they do not eat a banana every morning - (don´t)
we
Despues de haber recordado el simple present. Recordaremos el verbo auxiliar modal would
I would like to eat a banana every morning
would you like to eat a banana every morning?
I wouldn't like a banana in the afternoon
Sara would like to eat a banana every morning
would she like to eat a banana every morning?
She wouldn't like to eat a banana in the afternoon
Si observamos es muy facil el uso del WOULD, ya que no cambia mientras que en el simple present Si cambia la forma del verbo.
Y recordemos que el gerundio, es cuando hablamos de ando-endo. Ex
Infinitive Gerund
To eat (comer)= eating (comiendo)
To sleep (dormir)= sleeping (durmiendo)
To play (jugar)= playing (jugando)
Y tenemos algiunos verbos que admiten esta forma, como lo veiamos al inicio for example:
love,enjoy,want,hate, like
I like to eat a banana every morning (infinitivo)
I like eating a banana every morning (gerundio)
Juan likes to eat a banana every morning (infinitivo)
He likes eating a banana every morning (gerundio)
I hate eating cold food
I love driving in my new car

Despues de haber visto toda esta parte gramatical, vamos a los ejercicios.
